“Sacrifice….the surrender or destruction of something prized or desirable for the sake of something considered as having a higher or more pressing claim.”
Too many times this word has been used to solicit funds for one cause or another, but never has it held as much meaning as today.
The Snoqualmie Valley Veteran’s Memorial Foundation needs your help. Many of our service men and women from Snoqualmie Valley have given the ultimate sacrifice in the cause of freedom…… their lives.
It is well past time to recognize these brave souls, more than 90 years since World War I, by building a permanent Veteran’s Memorial in their honor.
We are working on constructing a Veterans Memorial for our beautiful Snoqualmie Valley to honor all Veterans, with the names of those from our Valley who were Killed In Action listed on the central monument. The Veterans Memorial will be constructed next to the site of the American Legion Renton-Pickering Post 79, at 38625 SE River Street in Snoqualmie, Washington. We would like to complete this Memorial Project by 11-11-11.
We have been working very hard on this project for the past two years, and have successfully raised almost $30,000 from grass roots fundraising efforts. In addition, we have received $36,000 from in kind donations, and at this time we need to raise additional $25,000 cash on hand to start construction on our project.
Our grassroots organization is fast answering the call to duty but we cannot reach our goal to complete this project without your generous sacrifice and help. Your tax deductible donation will allow us to complete our mission to honor the citizens of our wonderful Snoqualmie Valley, those who have served and died in armed conflict for our freedoms. Thank you.
